Topsail Storms: Rays Panorama

This is from the same day as the last shot. The starkness of black and white really make this image.

Ring of Kerry

Towards the end of our trip we stopped off at the Ring of Kerry in Ireland. This is the epitome Ireland. Blue clouded sky casting dapple shadows over green farmland flowing into the ocean. Definitely one of the best views.

Scotland, Isle of Sky: Old Man of Storr

The Isle of Sky in Scotland is one of the places we visited while in Scotland. I wish we had had more time there as it was full of incredible sites. The Old Man of Storr is one of them. The hike to get this view is not a cakewalk, though it is full of great views that definitely make the going easier.

Topsail Storms: Rain on Waves

Here is a panorama as the storm progressed up the coast to begin to encompassed us as well. I really liked how the rain coming down started to give the waves a softer look.

Uwharrie National Forrest Anniversary Excursion: Marrow Mountain State Park

This year for our anniversary my wonderful wife planned an excursion to the Uwharrie National Forrest. It is an awesome place to go for hikes. On the other side of the lake from it also lies Marrow Mountain State Park. Both are very picturesque. We started it all off right with a visit to Marrow Mountain State Park.

Great Bend Park at Glenco

Near the old Glenco Mill in Alamance county you can access part of the Mountains to the Sea trail. It is also part of the Haw River Trail. It is a beautiful hike, complete with views of the Haw river and a man made waterfall. Well worth a visit.

Northeast Park

Here are some shots from one of our recent hikes at Northeast Park in Guildford County.
